Commute Carlow/Tullow to Dublin?

    Anyone commute Carlow/Tullow to Dublin? Moving to Tullow so would welcome commuters views, comments and tips. Will be commuting 4 days to IFSC. Thanks

    Driving wise you are looking at 90mins to 2 hrs from Carlow town to the IFSCC, I can do Carlow to Newlands Cross in 45-50 minutes most days but all it takes is a fender bender on the Naas bypass or the gardai to have someone stopped in the hard shoulder for another 20-30 mins to be added. Naas bypass is going to get worse before it get's better as there are 2 years of roadworks planned to add an extra lane

    One thing to perhaps consider is the train. There are new trains going to Connolly (not stopping at Heuston) possibly starting before Christmas but I've not seen the timetable. I think they are running from Kildare so driving over to Kildare and getting the train in might be an option
