    Hi Folks

Having trouble with a ford galaxy lx 2005. losing power on the motorway. struggles to go above 110km/hr. Brought it for a diagnostic test to a ford dealers. Error code P1557 came up. They recommended changing the 3 turbo boost valves. Cost of this and labour all in is €675. I don't know much about cars! But I asked what if just one was faulty? Why change all 3? He said that its impossible to know which one is giving the bother and while we are at it the most practical thing to do is change them all. Does this sound right? I thought each could be tested? Or maybe car will work better if they are all of equal quality? Another thing is, Is this covered under a used car engine warranty from Simi dealer?

    Any guidance appreciated!

Warranties can vary. Have you gone to the supplying garage about it yet?

This is the Volkswagen 1.9 engine?

    Thanks Colm

Going there tomorrow. We will see what they say. Noticed the problem the day after getting the car!
Warranty says: Engine only Not to include electronics (i.e engine airbag lights etc)
or wear and tear items (clutch brakes etc)
