Depends how bad the structural corrosion is, you could be talking a few hundred to resolve, can you see how bad the damage is or can you post a pic of it? The 2 tyres mentioned would be getting dangerous too at that age. Try getting a price to fixe the corrosion first and that will help you make a decision.

Its underbody rust you have failed on.
Given that the car looks rough anyway, if say get another car.

That pic is not what you failed on. The sill is the part of the car under the doors. Proper repair involves cutting out rotten metal and welding in new metal. Price depends on how much is rotten but budget €100 a side at least

Best advice, send it on unless it has some sentimenal value.any money spent now would only be for the next 12 month's.its really not worth it.out of date tyres are only an advisory unless they are bald/damaged.

You have to consider the cost to change. Fix this car for 200 ish vs cost to change car

The next car might have other problems too. If you are driving a 2001 micra I had to assume you don't want to spend much on a car. If you hardly use the car, then spend as little as you can. If the car isn't ideal for the journeys you do, then perhaps you should change it. Other than rust those old micra's are pretty trouble free.

How long are we putting salt on roads in Ireland?

I bought the car for learning and still learning. Just gt a quote of 200e for repair. Does it still worth repair or to just sell? thanks

Its entirely your decision dude, but it seems like you should fix it.
It will never be worth money, and you can have it nctd for probably 300 notes.. seems alright to me.

Figure out how much will it cost you to find another car (time included).

Seems alright to me too, just get the surface rust covered up, or just wait until some smartarse in the insurance industry tells you it's too old to insure:mad:
