Husband dearest is doing the Great Dublin Bike Ride tomorrow and was going to cheer him on. We're tallaght based, so am thinking Blanch is might be a handy enough viewing point.

Problem is I don't know Blanch at all and will have to fairly hyper kids in tow. I see the route goes by a Ballycoolin Ind Est. Is there anything around there early on a Sunday morning that could keep us amused until the participants pass by?

Ballycoolin is dead on a Sunday, it's just business parks. If you really wanted to head that direction there's a petrol station in Hollystown that serves a good ice cream. Might be a good idea to ask in the Great Dublin Bike Ride thread in the cycling forum as they'll know the route better.
