Magsafe 2 cahrging problem

    Hey guys,

    Just today my magsafe 2 charger has decided it doesn't want to work. I've cleaned both connections on the cabe and the macbook itself and it hasn't made a difference. There is no visible damage to the cable either. It's my second charger too, and it's only about 8 months old. A bit of fiddling with it will get it to light up and charge for maybe 5 minutes but then the magnetic end that clips into the macbook gets extremely hot and charging stops.

    Any ideas?

    Bring it into an AASP. They'll usually replace chargers even outside of warranty.

    Good chance it is the charging point to nside the mac, mine did the same thing, got extremely hot and finally failed all together
