No signal received on BT Sport 2 HD and eir Sport 1

    Hi all,

I am intermittently getting a no signal received message on these two channels however all other channels (at least ones that I watch) are fine. (e.g. BT Sports 1 & 3 HD, eir Sport 2 HD, and all of the Sky Sports channels.)

Usually (about 90% of the time) a reboot of the box brings the channels back but they will usually then drop off again within 24 hours resulting in failed recordings.

Any ideas what these 2 channels have in common that could be causing this issue. Have tried ringing Sky about this a few times but it's the usual 'turn box off and on' line and then the 'it seems this has resolved your issue' - which I know resolves the issue short term, but not permanently.

Unfortunately I have no access to the satellite dish as I am in an apartment block, and really don't fancy paying a call out fee if I can get away with it.

So after a morning of messing around with trying out a second box and alternating cables to eliminate box and cables from the equation I got a sample of the impacted channels below (From both boxes).

Looks like an issue with the communal dish sending me the Horizontal polarisation channels within this range below - I'm sure there is a much more technical explanation that that though!

For those with some expertise in the area, does this sound like something likely when a dish is being shared like in an apartment block? I can only imagine the torture or trying to explain this to a Sky rep on the phone though.... :-(
