Hi folk, I seek some advice here please. i currently have factory recommended 235/55X20 mounted but they are nearing end of life. I have a very competitive offer for 4 new 235/45x20 tyres.

My question is if mounting these slightly smaller tyres will be ok onto my factory 20 rims? will they seal ok, will they stay on ok? Will they kill my mileage?
I'm not a raceboy going for a low profile look, I'm just looking for value without compromising safety of fuel economy (too much).

    thanks all for your advice.
    H.

The width is the same so you'll.have no problems with sealing.
Your big problem is that the sidewall will be much smaller than it is now. It will probably look awful and put your wheels at more risk of damage. The ride wouldn't be as soft anymore either.
