Saab 9-3 diesel, hard to get parts?

    Hi all,

I'm currently looking around for a new car. I'm pretty set on getting a Honda Accord (2.2 diesel 150hbp). But I also like the look of the Saab 9-3 (1.9 diesel). I've test drove the Accord and love it, though I'm a bit put off the by the 2.2 engine with insurance. I'm going to try and test drive the Saab.

I was just thinking, is it hard to get parts for a Saab since they've stopped making them and their company went into liquidation some time ago?

    Thanks

No. Their GM built & share many engine, suspension & brake parts with Astra's & Vectra's

I wouldn't like the look of anything that has such a fundamental question mark such as parts supply - I'd broaden your search. Plenty of fish in the sea.

Depends on year but generally, no it's not hard. I have a Saab myself and no problem getting any parts, either online or breakers.
There is also a multitude of Saab fan forums with lots of help.
