Folks, I want to clean the glass on my car properly....

I'm looking for advice on the best method to clean it. I have Autoglym fast glass and glass polish. What is the best method for cleaning and polishing the glass?

    Thanks in advance.

I've tried quite a lot of automotive solutions and I go for Mr Muscle Window and glass with Vinegar now. I find the AG Fast Glass can be a right disaster at times to buff off without leaving a residue. It looks OK but in low sun the residue can really be annoying.

Edit, I lightly mist with the Mr Muscle, work with a microfiber and finish with a second one. I do it half at a time with one good trigger spray per half of windscreen.

Best advice I got was to buff the inside horizontally and the outside vertically. That way you can tell which side has the bloody streaks in it

I've found the most important step for inside to be de-greasing (I use iso-propyl alcohol).

    Two very worth while videos:

Cheers for all the responses. I'll give them a go as soon as the weather improves.

I've found best results with a good APC like BH Surfex and CarPro Eraser. I also use glass polish every now and again if it's needed.

Don't forget to clean the wiper blades too, they accumulate a lot of gunk.

Best method to clean auto glass is never to use any traditional type glass and mirror cleaners as they will leave smears, use microfiber HPD (High Performance Detailing) cloths, use one HPD cloth damp with water to clean the glass then use a second HPD cloth dry to polish off for a smear free finish, if the glass is filthy and needs to be deep cleaned use a magic eraser pad damp with water to remove any ingrained insects or other soiling.
