Ordering tiles from abroad

    Hi
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with ordering tiles from abroad. I have found a italian tile we want to get and found 2 Italian suppliers online that are much cheaper than the shop here (1k) and will both ship to Ireland on insured pallets with couriersome ( even with delivery it works out cheaper ). Wanted to know if anyone has done this and did it work out OK for them - any issues ?

    Thx

If the tiles get smashed in transit what happens?
Make sure the tile models are still available because if you run out and need more or suffer breakages they may be discontinued.
Get spares you may need them.
Personally I'd only buy locally, tiles are much better bought locally for all the reasons I posted above.

I ordered 600x300 floor tiles for an apartment (via eBay) with no issue at all about 10 years ago. They sent me loads of samples first to choose from and then the order was delivered with no problems. I'm sure the company you are dealing with do it all the time and will know how to package and which courier to use.
