Jet Set Willy

What is it?: A classic 8-bit platformer that puts Super Meat Boy to shame when it comes to difficulty. Fear the Banyan Tree.

The Legend of Dragoon

What is it?: Sweet merciful jesus. Legend of Dragoon is everything wrong with Japanese RPGs condensed into one putrid mess of a game. Some people will argue its not that bad or it's one of the best games on the PS1. Those people are psychopaths. IT's vying with Beyond the Beyond as the worst RPG on the system.

Getsu Fuma Den

What is it?: A classic Famicom platformer by the same team that made the Castlevania games on the NES. Never saw a western release which is a shame because it's a great combination of Castlevania style gameplay and exploration, somewhat similar to the Gargoyle's Quest series.

I hated Jet Set Willy as a kid even though people raged on about it
too bloody hard mate!

It even had levels you couldn't see without cheating.
Actually, you can't finish the original because of a flaw in the level, so it has to be poked and so fixed.
I had it back in the day but, like most, it was more to see what areas of the house I could see rather than completing the game proper by collecting everything.
Personally, I preferred the more managable Manic Miner on the Spectrum, and Wanted: Monty Mole as well.
