Question on Mac Mini and uninstalling native apps

    Hello,

    1. I have a work Macbook and my IT team have access to admin functionality presumably so they deactivate all of the native apps like iCloud, Notes, Pages etc.

    2. I recently bought a Mac Mini and want to disable a lot of the native OS applications such as Facetime, even Safari etc.

    My questions:

    1. Is there an app that can assist in helping me deactivate these native Apps?

    2. What's the best antivirus for Mac? I can see from previous threads Malware Bytes comes strongly recommended but any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    K

Why don't you just delete the programs you don't want? You can also decide which programs will act as the default i.e. Chrome for browsing etc. Actually thinking about it, the best way would be to create a user account on the Mac that has everything stripped away. Login to this account for work. You then could have another account with a normal setup if you ever need it.

You don't really need an antivirus for a Mac.
