This deal has been around for a while but stock dries up at times. Its now available again:

    http://www.motorola.co.uk/products/moto-360-sport/ecomm

Use code UKCRM164 to bring the price down to £129. You need to use Parcelmotel. Its also eligible for Quidco.

    A few things to note:
    • A new version is due in the not too distant future
    • Reviews are mixed
    • Spare tyre etc

Its still a lot of Smartwatch for the money IMHO.

    - watch is not waterproof
    - band is not replaceable, and its get damaged easily

    - terrible support from Motorola...

It would be nice to get a watch of this quality for €50 but I think thats unlikely to happen.

I've haven't received mine yet but some of what you say is true. From what I have read, I wouldn't agree the battery life is terrible, reviewers say it will last a day with medium use, which is good enough for me. Charging is easy as its a wireless cradle.

The band cannot be replaced but I haven't seen many complaints that its easily damaged. The biggest problem I've seen about the band is that its a lint magnet.

Bluetooth range does seem to be an issue. You need to have the watch and phone on the same side of the body for seamless operation.

If you visit any device Forum, you will find complaints - thats why Forums exist. Very few people start a thread saying "my new phone is fantastic". Its better to read reviews on the various tech websites or look at the reviews on Amazon from owners who have the device.

I had a 1st gen Moto 360 for a while but I felt it was prone to getting marked/scratched. When the 2nd gen sport came out, I immediately like the more rugged appearance and waited until now when the price dropped to get one.

So I didn't really but it for the "sport" features like GPS etc, I just want a more rugged watch. The screen is also better on the Sport than on the standard 2nd gen 360.

I've had mine the last 3 months and I would say getting it at this price is good but I wouldn't pay any more than €150 for one.

The build quality is good, I have yet to get any scratches on it and I'm not particularly careful with it, it's not officially waterproof but I've showered with it many times and it's been fine, the band can gather bits of dust and fluff but after a shower I just rub my thumb over it with a bit of pressure and it takes all that away and looks good as new so it's not really an issue.

The Battery life is good, I get almost 2 days of mixed use on mine but if I were to go for a run with the GPS on it would only last the day which is to be expected.

The Screen is good on it, I keep it on the lowest brightness setting and I can see it in most cases and when I can't I just turn on the auto brightness and then I can easily see it, The screen itself is not most high resolution screen there is but it's still clear enough to read on.

    The Bluetooth connection issues:
I bought this so I could leave my phone at home while I went on a run or to the gym and still have something to listen to music on but the connection with my Bluetooth headphones (mpow swift) kept dropping, it's very annoying and made me want to return it but I thought I'd try another pair first so I borrowed a friend's Anker Bluetooth headphones and tried them on a run and they worked fine so I've ordered a pair of those to use with it so hopefully no more issues there but from what I've read online it's a bit of a lottery as to which headphones work with it.

The Fitness features of it aren't great in my opinion, the only built-in feature it tracks well is runs and steps and that's really it, all other useful data comes from Google Fit, if you want to track a workout you have to download an app to your phone that syncs to the watch, same thing if you want sleep tracking etc.
I would have liked the Moto Body app to track all of that too so I have only one app to install and a central place to view all my activities. I hope in future it adds tracking for Sleep, Food/Water and workouts but I really doubt it.

Overall it's best use is for getting notifications, that's what I like the most about it but that's just what any android wear device is about and if this was full price I would say avoid it because the "sport" features of this watch are nothing special but at the price it's at its a good cheap way of having an Android Wear watch that can also be used for sport.

    HTH anyone thinking of buying.

For around €50 more you could get a Samsung gear S2 - I have one and am really pleased with it.

Did anyone manage to get anything off Motorola.co.uk site as I order a phone using parcel motel and they cancelled my order due to using this freight forwarder I was told by customer service. Was told it was against there terms and conditions.
