Hi there, I don't know if I am in the right thread for this question but I would really appreciate if someone could guide me in the right direction for a childcare/pre school course which would be part time in Galway. There are so many courses online which also involve distance learning which is fine but knowing which is the better one is impossible. Is the portobello institute one any good? Any help or suggestions would be great! :)

Are you looking for full or part time?

Is it the Fetac l5 course that you are looking for?

Part time would suit me the best. Yes it is fetac I'm looking for. would it be better for me to do a level 5 and then level 6 fetac? I've seen some that allow you to start straight into level 6?

    Yes,you can start at 6 .
Normally people that already have degrees or have studied in other areas start at L6 .

I have a degree in business but have always wanted to do childcare. Do you know any good ones online?

I would start at Level 6 so .
I do it with Chevron training by distance because there was a special offer at the time .
I did my l5 SNA course in the local education centre 1 evening a week and if you can I highly recommend doing at least some of your modules in a class room setting ,it is far easier .
