I've always wanted to do the 6 Nations weekend in Rome so we've decided that this is going to be the season we'll go over.

Flights, hotel, almost everything booked. Just the match tickets to do. I figured that would be the easy part since it's in the Olympic Stadium and they never sell it out. That was until I discovered that tickets needed to be purchased form the "wonderful" ticketone.it website. Ticketmaster, I take back everything I ever said, you've got nothing on this lot.

Anyway I was just wondering if anyone here was going and, if so, have you had any joy purchasing tickets from the ticketone site? I've managed to get as far as getting the tickets I want into my basket, but despite using Chrome, then Internet Explorer, then my tablet, I can't for the life of me figure out how I'm supposed to actually get from there to purchasing the tickets. There just doesn't seem to be a checkout button to click on.

I've put a link to the site below if anyone has had any success or wants to guide me in the right direction.

    https://shop.ticketone.it/chooseProduct.jsp?cdProduct=RUG22017RB0211A

I know it's probably easy enough to get spares off people on the day but our flight over is the morning of the game so we might be short on time. So I was hoping to have the tickets in hand before we flew out.

Having the exact same problem. glad it's not just me. I even went to another event and had the same problem.

I tried in Firefox and Chrome (and incognito with addons disabled). there isn't a button to proceed.

Well that's something anyway, I thought I was missing something really obvious. Has it been like that for a long time? Hopefully it gets sorted in time or someone finds a workaround.

Maybe the tickets aren't released for sale yet?

Myself and my missus are going too, making a long weekend of it, so will be following this thread with interest as we also want tickets in hand before we leave!

From my Google translate of the Italian Rugby website, tickets went on sale as of August 2nd?

Yes, and they've now fixed the issue with the website. I was able to buy the tickets no problem today at lunchtime.

Next job is to sort tickets for Murrayfield. Got an email from the SRU this week to say that unbundled tickets wouldn't be going on sale until November for that game.

can we change this thread to the offical Ireland 2017 6N tickets thread ???

2017 is the hard year for home match tickets as we play France (25 Feb) and England (18 Mar)

England tickets are always hard to come by and tickets sell really fast when the IRSC have there annual ticket sale. It could be a potential Grand Slam/championship match and it takes place the Saturday of the paddys weekend. Even if they match was to decide who would get the wooden spoon or 3rd/4th/5th place it would still sell out. Got lucky in 2013/2015 when i picked up tickets to both home games that year from the IRSC and the MRSC (only full members get access to 6N/international tickets nowadays off the MRSC)

I'm going to Cardiff for Wales v England and Wales v Ireland next spring.
I've joined the Welsh supporters club just to try and maximise my chances of getting tickets!!!!

The SRU website says individual tickets for Scotland V Ireland may go on sale in December depending on availability. How good a chance would you think I'd have in buying tickets then?

You'll have a very good chance. The game will sell out but if you're in reasonably quickly once they go on sale you should be fine. Rugby still doesn't generate anything like the same level of interest in Scotland as it does in Ireland.

Very easy I'd imagine. Doubt the stadium will be anywhere near full.

Happened to be in Rome for the Italy v England game last year so decided to head down to the stadium and see if we could get tickets. No issue at all had them within 10 minutes and for about €35 each!

  • Anyone know if there are restrictions on items that you can bring into the Stadio Olimpico ? Can you bring a backpack?
