Lone parent moving county

Hello, I am writing this post on behalf of a friend who is not a member of boards but searching for advice. I hope this is acceptable.

She is currently claiming lone parents and in the process of moving county. She intends on moving in with a friend and will rent a room off her through the rent a room scheme.

What paperwork will she require when she visits the new welfare office to inform them of the move?
And will the welfare wish to visit the premises she will now rent in or is proof of renting all that is required.

    Thank you

She will be required to bring a proof of address when she attends the office. The file will likely be sent to a Social Welfare Inspector at some point to make sure everything is above board, but proof of renting will probably be acceptable for her to change for the time being.
