Hi guys. I'm going to link my fare conditions PDF for you u to read.

My brother and I will be travelling from Dublin > Dubai > Bangkok > Sydney. Then return is Brisbane > Dubai > Dublin.

He has thought of cancelling his trip. And I will go either way with or without him. We booked directly with Emirates for everything.

If I link my fare conditions, could someone tell me how much of a refund he will get if any at all? We honestly don't understand it. It's too confusing for us :(

    We paid €1300 each.

The PDF is in the link above.

Thank you so much in advance for any help.

    Did you contact the airline?

I'm sure they'll give you an indication

not yet. i checked the website thought the FAQ and it explained that he can attempt to claim a refund after canceling his booking. but we are hoping to find out the price of refund(if any) without canceling as his mind isnt made up..he definetely wouldnt cancel if he was to get nothing or very little back.

i should get onto them and explain this and see hwat they say back.

That document doesn't say whether your fare is refundable or not so you'll have to call them. They're very efficient to deal with on the phone.

Yeah it didn't make much sense to me. Thanks. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

    Cheers guys.

What fare code did you book into? If should be on your ticket somewhere. It might be something like fare Y.

    https://www.theflightexpert.com/emirates-fare-classes-explained-booking-classes-fare-type-guide/

Checking out the above link, it seems I am letters E, R, W. As my cabin class is Economy Flex.

The description says you can change/cancel flights for $200 each. So my brother would be set to lose 5 x $200?

I guess he won't be canceling then lol.

Why all the guessing? Call or email the airline
