    Hey all,

So both of my brake lights are out but the centre one (above rear window) is still working.

Checked fuse and it seems fine (presumably centre light would not work if it wasn't anyways)..

Replaced with two new bulbs.. still not working..

Took out brake switch above pedal and no response with that either..

So any thoughts? Short potentially somewhere? No multimeter unfortunately.

3rd brake light may well have a separate fuse.
I suggest you check the fuse diagrams

    Thanks biko..

.. fuse diagram only indicates one 15A fuse for Brake lights (labelled 'STOP' in diagram) and that looks fine.

A multimeter is really handy, v cheap now too (e.g. Maplins) but you could use a 12v lamp with a connection with trailing leads.

Check for 12v on one side of the fuse. If OK, check for 12v at pedal switch. If OK, check continuity to rear lamp...

Did you replace the right bulbs ?? The whole lot would be on the one circuit so id say both bulbs are gone.

Replaced both brake light bulbs.. that's it.

Picked up circuit tester in Halfords - fuses seem fine. But no power indicated at connector of one of the brake bulb - whereas obviously tested connector at indicator above it and that's fine.

Will check if there's power to brake switch after dinner.

Why would you think there is no power at the switch if the centre light is working ??

Have you checked all the other lights on the back ? Did you replace the bulbs with proper stop and tail bulbs ??

    Yeah, that's true.

All the other bulbs on the back are fine.. replaced them with the same bulbs that were in them previously (which used to work).
