Thinking of heading to this next weekend for some ideas as hoping to self build next year.
Wondering what peoples thoughts are on these if they are any use or are they just loads of suppliers with sales pitches for their products.

See there's a number of talks during the day regarding part L compliance, insulating house , choosing a kitchen etc. Tickets are free from their website so no cost incurred.

You'll always learn some thing new. Knowledge is no burden. Go and get a feel of what you are embarking on.

I've been a couple of times and genuinely find them fantastic. I'm at roof level on my own self - build now and am still planning on attending this weekend.

Like Water John said, you'll always learn something - even if it's just what you really don't want! But we chose our windows there, chances are we would never have heard of the company otherwise.

The talks are fab, I've found that they're usually 80% really good, general information and then 20% at the end is like "our product can do all of these things!". But that's ok, they have to get something for dishing out all their information for free!

Definitely go, there's a great buzz!

Yes, attended this a few times in Belfast and well worth it. The talks are very good and the big advantage is you've lots of suppliers under one roof so you'll never get a better chance to ask questions and meet them in the flesh.
