BTCC: The SuperTouring Era

    Hi all,

I don't post here regularly but I've got an itch that needs to be scratched. Over the past couple of years my interest in motorsport (particularly outside of F1) has been put on the side while I focus on my career and other aspects of my life. But the interest was always simmering in the background just waiting for an opportunity to reignite. Its seems to be starting to burn again and giving it the kick-start was my revisiting of the old SuperTouring Era Duke Video reviews. I've looked at the 1995, 1997-1999 BTCC seasons and have thoroughly enjoyed them - some were new races to me, others were fond memories.

But there's a saddening fact that I don't know anybody in this whole country who follows BTCC, let alone knows about the SuperTouring Era. My better half has been a true gem in this regard and has taken to keeping me company and even stimulating an interest in the BTCC for herself. It's enjoyable but I feel I need to get a little more into the thick of it so, simply put: are there any others out there who think the SuperTouring Era was just an incredible time in the history of touring car racing?
