Upgrade oil boiler, heating controls and hot water tank

    Hi,

I got a quote to replace our oil boiler with a new condensing oil boiler, run 2 new pipes from the garage into the attic, then back down into the house. Install a new hot water tank and upgrade the heating controls all for 5k, does that sound reasonable? It's a 3 bed bungalow, 2 zones.

I'm hoping to have another guy come out during the week to get another quote to compare it too. This is our first house so neither of us are really familiar with what's an acceptable price and what's not.

    Thanks.

Presuming he will power flush the entire system and correctly fit the new boiler c/w a mag filter , new fuel filter and remote fire valve, depending on which boiler he is fitting and which flue is required, the price could be about right.
