BTE allowance and jobseekers benefit

    Hi can anyone explain to me please how my family will be assessed for jobseekers benefit. Currently I'm on jobseekers allowance, I applied for bte allowance today and was informed there that I will need to apply for jobseekers benefit once my stamps run out in 14 weeks. I was under the impression that that the bte allowance was gonna replace my jobseekers allowance. Tia
