What kind of wall blocks are these?

I need to mount a heavy TV to a wall so I've cut out the plasterboard and insulation to first mount a wood block onto the inner wall.

Can anyone tell me what kind of blocks these are before i drill them? I was expecting concrete blocks but these look almost like ceramic bricks and I want to make sure that I get the correct fixings.

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's not but it does look like poured concrete

Looks exactly like my basement walls and ceiling, which is steel reinforced concrete. You'll need a hammer drill if it is.

Are they hollow or solid if you knock on them?

It's a basic 1 storey extension added on to the back of a house long before we moved in. So it could be anything to be honest!

They sound solid when I tap them.
