How long to get a new car delivered?

    Ordered a Ford ranger back in late July. Was told it would be about 10 weeks but now they are saying it will be the end of the year. It can be any colour and no extras. Is this normal?

    Was in a dealers a couple of weeks ago looking at a Ranger as well and was told at least six months.

    Some dealers may just get a limited allocation of each model, could be worth trying another Ford dealer. It could also be there's supply restrictions and no matter who you order from will be end of year.

    They come from Thailand, South Africa or Argentina and I guess low numbers of sales may mean long wait for deliveries.

    Make sure you wait and get 171 plate no point getting 162 at very end of year.

    Seems the less common models in certain makes have a very long wait. A friend ordered a vw touran and has a 6 month wait.
