Hi I'm flying off in a few weeks to Austria and it's booked through travelgenio. I have to get a connecting flight on my journey. My question is will my checked in baggage be automatically transferred to the connecting flight or do I have to collect my baggage in the connecting flight's airport and recheck it in?
The airline is lufthansa for both flights.
    Cheers

If it's all Lufthansa booked on one ticket your baggage will go all the way.

As a double check you will see the 3 letter Airport code on the baggage label of your final destination. Vienna is VIE, Salzburg is SZG.

They tell you at the desk that your luggage will be checked through.

For check-in, I would do it at the kiosks in the airport instead as you have the enter full passport information on the Lufthansa online check-in whereas at the airport kiosks you just scan the passports so it is much quicker.

Remember that you have to go through security when you are connecting at Frankfurt (only on the outbound leg).
