I have an Astec 63. This morning there was a buzzing sound from the alarm and a burning smell .

On control panel there is mention "Call engineer" ,fault and battery.
So is this the battery in the keypad or the battery in the output device '?

Is this a DIY job to replace ?

    Thanks

The battery is in the main control panel.
This is the battery you need.

A little bit more care is needed compared to other systems , as the PCB needs to be removed. Its important to be careful not to squash the cables behind the PCB when putting it back together.
