E39 Air blower in the car is not working

    Hi All,

    Just a quick question. I have a 2002 E39 and the air blower in the car is not blowing. I have checked the two main fuses that are in behind the glovebox. They are fine. I have also checked the fuse bank in top of the glovebox, they too are fine.

    Any other ideas as to what to check before I deal with the fact the I will have to drive to to a mechanic and get it serviced.

    Not familiar with your car but usually when the blower doesn't work its the resistor needs replacing or more rarely the fan itself. You'd get either in a scrapyard.

    The final stage unit/blower motor resistor (also know as the e39 hedgehog) is a common enough fault. Read more here:
