I have a number of lambs for different reasons have not done well (maggots, pets screws ect ) I am just wondering could I house these and finish them on hay and meal.Theses lambs are currently running with my ewes .I would be be fairly sure that the mothers have had no milk leading to them being screws

Be hardly worth the trouble.I'd be more inclined to bring their mothers in and fatten them for cuĺling.

If they're not worth bringing to the mart, you just have to feed them to get them off the place, feeding a lb of meal at grass helps or give them as much as they can eat in a creep feeder.
Thye're better off in if you're feeding heavy especially in bad weather, it's taking expensive meal to keep them warm

Understand what your saying about culling ewes ,but the llambs which had maggots and thoses which didn't thrive due to lameness is not down to the ewe. Also due to poor management on my part I would not be able to distinguish which lamb are with which ewes.

We've a few stores that have broken our hearts and we'll be giving them some meal while they're on grass, just to try get them respectable enough to shift on. Tisn't much craic but not the end of the world either
