Ras scheme

    I've been in the Ras scheme for years now because my two kids live with me and I share custody with my ex .i was told by the landlord she was thinking of selling.and I was told by the council that they took me off the housing list because I'm in a Ras scheme I'm not really panicing yet but I wondering what are my options if she sells.and because I live in the country and the kids are schooled locally miles from the busy city .wil they rehouse he or give me a council house

    They will try find you alternative accommodation but you need to keep getting on to your local authority ,
    You won't get a council house if they have taken you off the list

    If your Landlady is dropping hints to you, her tenant, that she is 'thinking of selling' I would take it pretty seriously. t's not something that a LL would say idly to a tenant, and especially a lone parent with 2 children.
    Can you have a frank talk with her and ask her straight up does she have plans to sell?
    If she does, I'd start looking now for alternative accomodation on the RAS scheme, or check are you entitled to RA / HAP.
    There is also the possibility that she wants more rent/ dosen't want to do RAS anymore, so if she does say she is selling, and gives you notice make sure you have it all in writing from her, and watch from the place being re-let on Daft etc. A friend was renting a place for 850e pm,LL said she was selling, saw the place on Gumtree (LL trying to avoid Daft!) for 1.6k pm.
