....a topic flogged to death at this point im sure but just looking for some fresh thoughts please..

Living in the sticks so can burn your standard smokie coal in stove which heats the rads etc...would have no issues in using a smokeless coal if I could find a decent enough bag, like not one that takes half the day to produce a flame..

One of my pet peeves is the glass on stove getting all sooted up, its nice to see the fire!...its easy to keep the glass clean if you keep top vent open but your more fuel than needed.. inside the stove there is a flap at the back to help with draft that needs to be open and most of my flame scoots up there!.. Cant complain I guess, can heat the house all winter for about 400 eur ish...best coal for boiler stoves?

Arigna ecobrite if you can get it is brilliant and long lasting , it won't dirty the glass.

Jayzus I spent around 700 last winter fueling a 8kw room heater stove with hardwood. And I also have GFCH.

Yeah its pretty good...Its not a big house by any means...3 bed timber frame bungalow...If really cold out id stick on the OFCH for 20min just to get temp up and the stove will keep temp up in rads from there....

Got 3 of the 1 tonne bags of softwood yesterday for 100 delivered...not bad
