l have recently lost my Hong Kong warty newt , he lived for about 10 years and then got some bloating disorder and died .Had him since I was a child so very upsetting , also rare breed in Ireland now. The vets had no idea how to deal with it anywhere. He lived with a Paddle Tailed newt and got on well together. I still have the Paddle tailed and hes very depressed. I want to get him a friend around the same size as he is . I will travel anywhere in Ireland .They are well looked after , fed earth worms and blood worms and always have a clean tank with lots of plants and space. Please let me know even if it is another type of newt. Thanks

You could try Reptile Haven, based in Dublin. They might have some or direct you to the right place.

What about firebelly newts? Are they too small for your newt?
