Can anybody help me with this please I am so confused.

I need to bring two 20kg checked bags (40kg overall in checked baggage). When I am making the booking I can see that I can add two large bags 20kg. What I don't understand is if this is 20kg over the two bags or 20kg for each bag (so 40kg over the two bags). It isn't clear to me if I check the T&Cs, maybe I am missing something!

I asked in their online chat and I don't think the representative understood me because I still don't know.

    TIA!

    Its 20 each. So you can do 20 + 20 but not 23 + 17.

Thanks for the reply, this is OK as long as I can bring 40kg somehow!

Actually they told me in the online chat that I couldn't bring more than 32kg and that I would pay excess baggage for the 8kg, I said do I pay this in the airport? They said I also need to book the excess baggage online. Hence why I am so confused.

Obviously I don't want to pay excess baggage as it is insane...

Its 20kg per bag as a said above, not 19+21. The max a bag can be is 32kgs.
The excess baggage is expensive tho, something like €8 a kg, paid at the airport. A friendly check in agent might allow you the 19+21kg or 15+25kg if they turn a blind eye but most wont as their not supposed to.

In Dublin Airport is it all done by machine now, so 20.1 = computer says NO!

So be extra careful with your weights and don't forget you can have 10kg in your carry on.
