Just curious as to the A320-200's maximum range with an average take-off payload weight?

I know the B738 can do transatlantic to the East coast most of the year but what about the A320?

Quite a distance when it gets going.

JFK to SEA with a full load seems to work

A320s regularly do UK- Tel Aviv, Amman, Sharm etc all about 5 hours flight time I guess it could do slightly longer too

14 tons of fuel and 174 seats full. The only limit is runway length, crew hours, galley and toilet tank capacity.

Airlines don't tend to think in bald facts like that; it all depends on what the projected route generates. You can do Dublin-Burgos once a day or Dublin-London four times a day. You adjust the alleged utility of the aircraft to what's needed; BA's A319 going from LCY to SNN to the US, with 60 seats is a case in point. We've sent 321s to Faro because it's a longish route over water but have done it with a 330 due to demand.
