    Hi
I'm looking to install 2 large velux windows with lightwells to increase natural light to kitchen/dining room in a bungalow. Also knocking non-load bearing wall between kitchen and dining.

Who should I contact to do the works?

    Carpenter, builder or roofer?

Will likely need doubling up of rafters either side of the velux windows as they will each span through an existing rafter.

    Thanks

Contact an Engineer first to prepare a small plan.
Who will design the steel and certify same to carry the loads that the wall was taking?
Velux have to be doubled up all around either way, irrespective of what they are or are not passing through.

    Non-load bearing.....

Won't need an engineer for the scale of the work being carried out. I am aware that the rafters need to be doubled up. Just looking for advise on who typically would carry out such a job

If no structural works, and you are confident in that, then a small contractor, handyman, carpenter could do it all.
