    Hi all,

My mother passed away last year and there was a postmortem.

I got a copy of the death certificate but haven't received a copy of the Coroners report and would like to have a copy on file so it can be referenced should the cause of her death be something which can be inherited and would be useful for the family GP to be aware of or indeed for the kids to have access to in the future.

I've checked on www.coroners.ie but can't see an option to search, request or order Coroners reports which I thought were public documents.

Can anyone give me a steer?

They need a request in writing. You can email though: coroners@dublincity.ie
Just include the deceased name, date of birth and date of death plus your contact details.
I emailed on Monday and got the report by post on Wednesday.
