Contacts app with local phone account option for Moto4

    Just received a new MotoG 4th Gen. As many of you will know the default Android 6 on this phone does not offer the option of saving contacts on the device only (as opposed to in Google etc). Does anybody have recommendations for a contacts app that will permit saving contact details on the device only ( I'm not sure I 100 % trust Google privacy with my contact details)

    How did you do it before. Did you use Gmail on your previous phone.

    My Sony Xperia offered a "Phone" account which stored all locally. Moto has no such account.

    I have come across an app on Playstore called MyLocalAccount which seems to offer the equivalent but it hasn't been updated since Nov13 (maybe it doesn't need to be) . I would be interested in what others use to achieve a non- cloud option ?

    PS In researching this it seems Nexus phones have the same issue ?
