    Hi,

The salt in the softener doesnt seem to be going down. The timer seems to be working but it isnt draining off. Although it does pump out water if i set it to "backwash"
Should the setting in pic below be set to "Treated water" or "Start"?

it should also put water to drain during slow rinse draw. Draw refers to brine draw. I dont know how your valve head works but usually they are a ventury. i.e the water passing through the pipe to drain causes sucking on the brine pipe.

Check the pickup in the brine tank. if there is a ball valve they can get stuck.

I had one of these in the end I ended up getting a clack head as it gave me so much hassle. There is a jet in it that sometimes can get clogged and it easy enough to remove and clean. U open the two screw caps on either side and use something to push through to knock out the jet. Goggle it for a diagram it might be the issue. The other thing that went on mine was the motor it could be still be making noise and turning but it wasnt fit to turn gears when it went into a regen. Put it to start and watch it regen to check every cycle usually takes over hour tho.

If you look at the 7 day timer dail (whte), you dont appear to have any of the 7 tabs pulled out to select the day(s) you want the backwash to happen. Pull one or more of the tabs out (not towards you, but out towards the perimeter of the dial).
