a will causing major family divide

Hi all...just wanted advice or see if anyone has gone through this..
i was a main carer in my own home for my other halfs great uncle. I was for two years which was 24 hour care.
now the said man changed his will 2 years ago .
he use to live with his nephew and his nephews wife before they had enough and were putting him out of the house unless we took him or he went to a nursing home.
long stprt short we took him to live with us.
so anyway the will was read monday and now murder is happening..
the nephew lets call him tom is contesting the will cause he wasnt mentioned in the will and because the old man lets call him fred made me one of the executors of the will which i had no clue about..
so now tom is shouting and blowing steam saying myself and ny father in law to be which would be another nephew of freds made fred change the will to suit ourselves which is rubbish ..
anyway the family is up in arms and dont no wat to so..
has anyone else been through this..
now to make it funny fred and tom completly and utterly hated each other but yet tom is expecting a big pay day and on the other hand is saying its not the money its the principal...
