I need to decide on a new phone and it is coming down to either the HTC 10 or the Samsung S7 (or S7 edge). I currently have a HTC M8 so i'm leaning towards the 10. the thoughts of buying new charger cables is putting me off slightly though. Will i be missing anything really important by picking the 10 over the S7?

I just changed from the M8 to the S7 (regular, not Edge).
For the record, my last 4 phones were HTC - Hero, Desire HD, One X and M8.

The S7 is faster, has a better battery and has fast charging.
I even have it set up the same way as my old phone (same launcher, shortcuts, wallpaper etc)

Looking forward to getting a Gear VR2 when it's released too.

    No regrets at all.

Make sure you try an Edge in person (and read reviews and opinions).
I've heard a lot about buyers remorse afterwards and people who wish they'd got the regular S7.

thanks for the info. I see what you are saying about the edge. It does look like a bit of gimmick.

Not sure if it'll bother you but Samsung have the Back and App buttons 'swapped' on their devices, compared to HTC and most other manufacturers. I'm sure you get used to it but it drives me mad any time I use a Samsung device.

From handling both devices I would warrant that the HTC is a bit tougher too.
