Garage - Velux or no Velux?

The title of the thread says it all – to Velux or not to Velux?

We need to decide on whether we include a Velux in the Garage or not. There is a 1800 window included on the plan which is SW facing and the Garage is 8M by 6M

Pro – Free light into the Garage

Con – Light will be fairly limited from a Velux. Plenty room above the rafters for an attic which would block light to the main Garage. Cost (EUR500 ono)

I know my Con list is longer but I am leaning towards including it, thoughts?

    I'd include it.
Easier to do it now rather than retro for it later.

would block light to the main Garage, but would light up attic :D

Include it. More than likely the garage will get full of stuff and a lot of the 1800 wide window could end up getting blocked up with junk/potentially useful stuff I might need at some point in the future.
