What's your opinion on dairyGold's new logo?

Does it send a new message to the world? Is it a vision of Ireland, quality, unspoilt resource?

I don't like the signage one bit, the three intersecting rings were symbolic of the three individual co-ops that amalgamated hence unity blah-de-blah...however the new logo is like something a primary school 4th class were assigned to design for a box of roses. Please DG bright sparks take note "fools and their money are easily parted" 😂😂

    Here's an alternative --

    Goodness from the Golden Vale.

Edit just copped on Kerry would be a bit peeved.

don't think much of it, Ireland isn't know for it's valleys.
if someone told me that was a log from the 50's i would have believed them, maybe that's the idea but i think they could do better

Any idea of the cost? Waterford foods changed their logo around twenty years ago shortly before the merger with avonmore. The bill at that time ran into millions. Over ten from memory.

Please tell me your taking the utter piss? And I thought the 20k on the Irish water logo was bad...

The cost of designing a logo is one thing, the cost of new signage on buildings, lorries, brochures etc is an entirely different matter.

This is the image, colouring and design that Kerry keep on their Dairygold products...

Maybe we're conditioned to think of dairy products in a certain way...

I'm in the heart of DG area and there's f'all gold in the valleys around here. Many it will appeal to the Chinese.
I'm wondering about the cost of it as well. Whatever they paid to the designer 'twas too much or many Jim and the boys designed it after a couple of pints some night. Add the cost of changing logo on fleet, buildings, stationary etc. could be substantial.
Bannanas stuff, especially the year that's in it.

"golden" is the natural condition of a field treated with round up.

Apparently designed by graduate's they employ & also from what I hear signage only changed as necessary both logo's will be around for a while. Now could be well wrong. After all it's someone else money say the boys!!!!!

May aswell have got the kids of Mitchelstown primary to design it and given them a hamper for their efforts. It's sad that they think we have golden valleys rolling around Clonmel Road. What a shower of blah-de-blah heads. True for you Arctic8dave
