Recommendations pls, 27" 2440x1440 IPS monitor

    Hi folks,
    I'm in the market for a 1440p monitor and looking for recommendations please.

    I do most things, work, browsing, gaming, not so much movies.
    I'd like a sub-4ms refresh rate, IPS for good contrast.
    It will be attached to a GTX460SE, via either dual-link DVI or hdmi.

    I'm not expecting to play games at 1440p, perhaps at midrange 1600x1024, etc.

    Should I look for sync support, does my gfx card even support it?!

    Is Nivida sync noticable?

    You need a 6XX series or later.

    Buying a high end monitor to run on an old low tier card seems like a poor upgrade choice unless you do very little gaming.
