Local squash club wants to get broadband in. Eir or Vodafone is all that is available and both have an FUP of 1tb. There's a few lads that will probably try abuse it so what's the best way to keep the usage down?

I know you could limit the speed but is there anyway to say limit the usage per MAC address per day or any other way?

Purchase a captive portal that handles everything. Larger upfront but hands off and ads legal disclaimers. You could roll your own with OpenWRT or Mikrotik but then you'd be on the hook for service calls which I doubt is what you'd want.

I'm up there most days and live a few mins away so wouldn't really mind either way. Could you recommend a router for OpenWRT.

Their Wiki is pretty good but I'd check smallnetbuilder for whats popular and compatible.
