I see that the summer schedule of TRTE running from mid morning is continuing next week,(Sep 5th - 9th) is this permanent or has the head of scheduling just forgotten that the schools are back open ?

Maybe they got the OK to change schedule God knows anything would be better than showing junior programmes on 2 channels . at least they can advertise on TRTE

Wouldn't surprise me but the minister should make an announcement.

Seems pointless tho showing TRTE when the "tweens" are at school but how many "Tweens" actually watch it when they come home from school? I presume cable and Satellite channels for that age group have more relevant, newer content rather than Sabrina reruns ?

It's all ipads and Youtube these days for young people.

They really are milking Sabrina. It's on a daily basis, and for a show that's been around 20 years.

Why couldn't they do a 'Watch Your Own Week' type of event - similar to what worked out well for Nickelodeon in the early 00's. Let the teens decide what they'd like to watch from a selection of 3 different shows every half hour using the power of texts, twitter, instagram, snapchat, facebook etc... This would get them more involved - especially as their hand are attached to their phone anyway.

RTE should provide something to the 8-15yo but neither TRTE or Two Tube are fit for purpose.
