    Hi,

I have hammered the hell out of the tiles, and while they are coming off in bits, most of the plasterboard behind it is coming away too

Can any recommend a good way to remove tiles and plasterboard from a stud partition? Also, two of the walls have servicing.

There is no easy way if they are well stuck on.

I ended ripping the plasterboard off complete with tiles and replacing it. Was way quicker in the end.

Believe me, by the time you chip the tiles and cement off and then try and fill the remaining holes and dents, an hour with a crowbar and a few quid for new blue board is well worth it.

^^^^ what he said. There is no easy way. Taking off the boards completely is the fastest and easiest way of going about the works. Sometimes what looks like you are making the biggest mess of a job is the easiest in the long run.

Thanks for the input, will purchase a crowbar on the way home.

As rough as it sounds I use a shovel
The surface area of the shovel gives great leverage to pull the slab off the screws in the studs.
Find a hollow part knock a track in the tiles to form manageable sections with a hammer ( wear goggles & gloves) insert the business end of the shovel in to the track and lever off the whole panel them just unscrew or snap out the remaining screws.

Its best to lose the plaster board ..and restud the wall... Before retiling prime the new plaster board

Converting the en suite into a mini office/man cave. Re-plasterboarding, skim, and repaint the lot.
