Fishing / Camping advice

    Hi all,

Im wondering can anyone advise on a decent fishing / camping location with 2 hours travel of dublin.

Myself and a friend are looking for some quiet and secluded river or lake to fish this coming weekend, and also camp - without breaking any laws. We are relatively inexperienced, so not overly fussy on the type of fish or fishing, we are just looking for somewhere nice, and safe also.

We are happy to purchase one day licenses if required.

    Any feedback much appreciated.

What fish are you hoping to target?

Ive often camped at random spots along the Shannon and spotted others doing the same. We pick a quiet area and don't tend to ask as we'd have no idea who to ask. Most of the land is flooded half the year so I don't think the farmers mind a few campers. Goes without saying to be clean and leave nothing but footprints!
