    Hi.
This post is primarily aimed at young people, aged 18-24, who might be interested in becoming an air traffic controller, or indeed of you know someone in that age group who might be looking for a great job.

I'm here to answer any questions that you may have as I myself am a controller.

I work for EUROCONTROL which is based in Maastricht, The Netherlands.

This is indeed a plug as we are now looking for student controllers.

Please have a look at atco.eurocontrol.int
There is plenty of info there, with FAQ's etc.

If you have any questions then please ask!

  • Just out of interest does being older than 24 rule you out?

Age 24 is allowed. Age 25 and above is not allowed.

Many professions have upper age limit. Army, Garda to name but two.

if i remember from cork airport the latest you can start training for this as ''old'' as 30 in Ireland.

    FAA says 30 as well.

NATS (the UK) does have one you can start anytime as long as your over 18.

youve to be over 21 across the board to carry a radar licence.
