Just saw this in the weekly Sky email. It's a 6 part adaptation of the great suspense/horror movie from 2005. Looks like it has really great production values. John Jarratt (the original antagonist from the 2005 movie) plays the same role here (and he was GREAT in the movie).

Starts Tuesday night on Fox. It was on in May in Australia if you're impatient. The cinematography jumps right off the screen - it looks beautiful.

I loved the film, so will more than likely check it out. I might series link it and watch it all in one go once the whole series has aired.

Just because it wasn't mentioned in this thread yet, for anyone who isn't aware, there was also a movie sequel, Wolf Creek 2, with John Jarratt reprising his role as Mick Taylor, released in 2013.

not as good as the first one though by a fair way.

Was it not just another torture porn movie? Tv version looks good though

something about the first one tapped into the fear of the psycho outback nutjob - it was fairly seminal in its time. you wouldn't forget it - "head on a stick"!

Yeah I watched the first 15 minutes of the first episode. One thing that stood out was how awful some of Mick's dialog was. I'll finish the first one tonight.

there is that but he doesn't have a lot of dialog really. gets pretty interesting in episode 3.

also I think that his dialogue is deliberately limited, crude and socially inept because that's the sort of character he is.
