This is the last line of the Homebase ad:
Additional information: Does not include disc

The Argos ad specifically mentions accessories included as two discs.
Seems odd, but that may explain it.

the bit you quoted looks to be taken from the marketing blurb. given that they then say the disc isn't included id imagine they aren't, especially as it is given under additional information.

might see if i can pop in later to confirm

Discs (x2) are included.

Guards and attachments are included. (follow picture on box).

Only thing not included are bolts for mounting grinder to desk.
