    Looking to cash a cheque in Dublin today, does anyone know of any businesses that will do this? It's in my name and I have I.D

    Cant imagine anyone wanting to cash a cheque for a stranger in case it bounces.

    Its actually common enough. They usually charge a very hefty commission to cover against fraud and some hold on to your ID until its cleared. The tiny number of pawn shops in the city usually do it.
